A good start

As I posted last night, so far it's 56.90% no, 43.10% yes. That's obviously a good start. I'm not going to get ahead of myself and assume that we've won this thing, though. Since this is an all-mail election, it's hard to judge how things will go from here. But I'm definitely happy with the way things have gone so far.

You can look at the ballot return statistics here:

http://your.kingcounty.gov/elections/abstats/

The count from yesterday was of 4027 ballots. We're now up to 5092 ballots received from the Fairwood incorporation area. So we'll have a little over 1000 more votes counted for the results that are released today. Check back at the results website at 4:30 pm for an update. There will then be updates at 4:30 pm every day for the next three weeks.

Hopefully things will continue the way they have gone so far.

To put a definite date to your "3 weeks", the King County elections office has already said the date of the offical election is November 24, 2009. Has you pointed out the vote count could change (either way), but you have an excellent start.
